TRADES

we seem to be getting a fair amount of scam reports through at the moment

please remember the rules of not doing trades outside the official routes is there to protect YOU

Admin and us as mods cannot get things back to you and by agreeing to trades such as i'll give you x item and y horse for your horse called z it puts both players in the wrong. the scammer for doing the scamming, the scammed player for going into the trade

Unfortunately in this world not everyone is honest and we do not like seeing these things happen

so to summarise
horse trades... don't do them
item trades.... use the item exchanges

don't trade horses for anything other than passes and equus.
this is for your own protection, while we do sypathise things happen if things are done how you are advised to scamming won't happen.

if someone offers you a trade please remind them that it's not allowed or send through as a pm report for us to deal with

Hello,default smiley :)
I use do trades until i read this, But i have never been scammed during trades. Still never taking that chance again. But i do have a question for storm2284 i you have the timedefault smiley :).

What about people offering to train my horses? this month I let Someone(i dont want to point out) Train my high skilled female GA Donkey. Which meant i had to let the person keep my donkey for 10 to 20 days. He said he would not cover her or sale her. so i let him take her, of course you know my mistake. He took her covered her then sold her. I tried to stop the sale by Pming him to call off the sale and asking him if he knew he was selling my donkey.(I like to give every one the benefit of the dout) She sold.
But lucky for me i have amazing friends! They got her back and i still have her. Although it cost my friend 1 pass and 100,000e.default smiley :'(

Sorry for such a long message. Thank you for reading this, i appreciate your time for reading!default smiley :-))

The only safe way to do this is via the loaning system given to official teams. Using that, you can loan your horse to another member of your team for a limited time so that they can do whatever you need done to that horse.

The way you've done it was obviously very risky and backfired and, while it's brilliant that you did manage to get your horse back, as you mentioned, it came at a hefty price. If it weren't for your friend getting it back, there's absolutely nothing mods or admin could have done to return that horse to you.

It's advised that you do not attempt things like these with anyone for the very same reason this topic was created to warn you about in the first place.

All messages asking for passwords are scams.

My password is complex with letters and numbers now so no one should hack mine!

Reply:

I never let anyone train my horses unless I allow them to account share or if I personally know them.

Jacob, this really isn't the place to ask. Try looking around people's pages to try and find a team that suits you.
After reading this i am definantly not going to trade things but one time i let some one buy a horse of me for 100000 because they needed to borrow the horse and it all worked out fine and they were very pleased and i was happy that i could help default smiley 8-)

Then, you'd just be selling the horse to them via the exchanges. There's nothing wrong with this.

The only way to do this is to either give the person shared account access or to do it via teams loaning system. Ive only done this with trusted friends Ive known for years and I would always take one of their horses to ensure safety.

Come on guys

If something looks too good to be true it usually is

Trust once broken cannot really be regained

Your online 'friend' may not be all that they seem so please be careful out there

Anything you are uncomfortable with stop talking to that person and block them

They will get over it

Stay safe now peeps

Well I wouldn't suggest selling horses to people to train them it can lead to people scamming you and taking your horses
By Retired breeder, 6th July 2016 18:32:01
To add, the best way to ytrain them is through co management and team laoning. Also, on the very slim chance I do do this, i make sure I have a horse of equal value from them first
By Retired breeder, 7th July 2016 20:20:12
I'm with kassandra safety is important especially with special horses. Let's say I will give you 2 Croesus divines if you sell me liten the fallabella, in your mind your thinking ooh I want them... But it sounds to good to be true.. You send the fallabella and they block you and there is nothing admin can do to gets your horse back.. default smiley :( this is sad but very true
By Retired breeder, 9th July 2016 20:07:32
To Howrse players,

There has been a huge warning about, horse trades, don't do them. If you do it with someone and they refuse to do their bargain then you only have yourself to blame, you accepted it. Horse trades, don't do them

Also if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is
By Retired breeder, 12th July 2016 15:34:53
Hello, ^-^
I remember one player asking me, if I could trade one of my horses for 5 passes so I blocked her and told a Moderator immediately. I have experienced a scam before on another horse-related game, and I know how distressing it really is...

I hope most of you players, think I did the right thing c:
By Retired breeder, 14th July 2016 07:00:18
I meant to add above - she wanted to give me five passes for the horses and swap it as well for a BMI...
