Genetic Potential

Hey!
Returning player here. I recently just figured out what GP was and wondered how to increase it in my horses? I get that once you breed generations that the GP rises, but no matter how many different high GP stallions I use to cover my mares, the GP never really increases. How could I get it to go up?

Hi there,

To ensure optimal GP gain, you should chose horses with not only a high GP, but also the highest BLUP possible, or at least with a positive value. BLUPs at 0 or below will not result in GP gains, or it will result in minimal GP gains.
